Hi—I’m Steven, a designer with a focus on branding and illustration.
I didn’t start out in design (my bachelor’s is in environmental science) but I quickly learned that design is where I belong.
In college, photography was my creative outlet and at the time, just a hobby. My hobby taught me the fundamentals of composition, scale, balance, color, and negative space. The rest I picked up at my first real job in graphic design at a boutique design agency in Seattle. I couldn’t get enough and working with and alongside other brilliant creatives gave me a hunger to learn and grow my skills in a way I’d never felt.
Six years later, I’ve worked for small and large agencies, freelance, and in-house across a broad range of industries that include tech, hospitality, and the arts. I approach every project with a desire to solve the issue at hand, arriving at an intuitive and beautiful solution, while pushing the boundaries of my understanding of design to learn as much as possible.
Beyond my work, I love exploring architecture and interior design, thrifting, hanging out with my cat, getting outside as much as possible, and volunteering with Space.City.
