Hollywood-based coloring agency Umami was formed and renamed in 2023. In addition to a new logo, they were hoping for something that was light, approachable, and stood out from the corporate-looking agencies that saturate Los Angeles. 

After trying out a couple iterations of logo designs, we ultimately landed on the idea that resonated from the start- our smiling mushroom icon. 

Umami’s logo is versatile, approachable, and conjurs the idea of umami and great taste, without seeming too food-related. The icon is paired with a playful and chunky customized sans serif font to keep it modern and clean.
